WHO WE ARE
Eastside Student Center (ESC), established in 2019, is dedicated to empowering youth through peer-led support and leadership, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives, providing a safe, supportive and substance-free space for youth to gather, organize, and grow. Our mission is to foster positive social connections with peers and mentors, creativity, connectedness, and essential job & life skills for youth ages 10-18 from traditionally marginalized groups in rural Inyo County.
ESC accomplishes this by providing two distinct out-of-school drop-in centers: The Fowler Street Center (grades 5 & 6) and the Line Street Center (grades 7-12), both featuring programs and activities centered around building protective factors against youth substance use and addressing systemic inequities at the community level.
